The great English poet John Milton was born on December 9, 1608 in London. His words have an important place not only in English literature but also in world literature. Some of his poems are considered among the highest in the world. John Milton, English poet, pamphleteer, and historian, is best known for writing "Paradise Lost," which is widely regarded as one of the greatest English epic poems. After the William Shakespeare he is considered as the greatest writer. In the post-Renaissance era in Europe, hardly any writer gained as much fame as John Milton, who gradually made him famous all over the world. 

He was an expert and well-known of both English and Latin. Rich in vocabulary, he used Spencer's old proverbs in his list of words. He described each person's temperament, specific style of expression, passion and thought. He used words and idioms that hardly anyone else noticed in the lyric poems of the 17th century. The Renaissance was a time of literary theory and poetic constitution. It was a time of revival of science and art. The theme and style of Greece and Rome was to promote classical literature and philanthropy. The Milton was the most important representative of the Post-Renaissance. He was the most knowledgeable and familiar of the half genre in English poetry. Milton's most popular books are Paradise Lost and Paradise Gain, which consists of several volumes.

Milton graduated from Christ College Cambridge in 1629, obtaining 4th position in his graduating year. In 1632, he received his master's degree from Cambridge University. He moved to Horton, Berkshire, after receiving his degree. He had a good relationship with Edward King, for whom he wrote the popular poem "Lycidas."

Milton's eyesight gradually deteriorated during his mid-thirties, and he went blind in 1652. Milton died in November 1674 and was laid to rest in St. Giles, Cripplegate Church.
